Senior Night/Pink Night for Football

No, I don't have a senior.

Whew.

At least not for 3 more years.

Woa.  Only 3 more years.  Unbelieveable!

Ok, back on task.

Every year in October, to support Breast Cancer Awareness month, we have a "pink" football game.

The guys get all gussied up, the girls get all gussied up, and everyone wears pink!

Unfortunately it was cold last night, so alot of the pink was UNDER coats!

Anyway, it was an intense football game.

The football players were escorted through a tunnel lined with all our local fire department trucks, running their sirens every step of the way.

Then a kindergartener in our district, Jett Roe, who is battling leukemia, delivered the game ball via helicopter to the middle of our football field.  Really cool.

During halftime the cheerleaders took their pink halloween buckets through the stands, collecting money for our local hospital with a cancer center.

Grace cheered hard...

and our team won in overtime.  42-35!

Great job Falcons!

We even had fireworks after the game since they got rained out last Friday.

It was a great night.  Cold, but great!
