I wish I may, I wish I might

... have enough time to finish one of these crafts....one night.

When I have a countdown of only 18 days of school until summer break, a part of me gets really excited!

I start making serious lists. Lists that I know will be completed sometime over the summer. Things I've waited on practically all year to accomplish, but just haven't had enough time. Things always get in the way!

Things I've recently seen on Pinterest.com, which is the most awesome website I've ever encountered! Don't walk there, run, but I'm giving you a fair warning...you'll get hooked!

Anyway, here are my top 5 crafty projects I recently saw on pinterest, with links of course, that I would like to accomplish very soon.

I'm not sure what I'd do with this...maybe put in it my kitchen somewhere...I don't know, it's just cute. The colors above are adorable!

2. Tissue Paper Flowers/tulle flowers/coffee filter flowers

I saw this image on Pinterest.com and loved it, and thought of Grace's room right away. Of course we'd have to work with the colors turquoise, purple, and chocolate brown, but that's ok.
Then I saw this image today of the tissue paper/tulle flowers, (link above) and thought these were cool too.

But then my mind started racing and I thought, what if I used my khaki colored coffee filters, and some Styrofoam balls, and made my own kind of flower. The possibilities are endless.

3. Painted Candlesticks.

Enough said. I love this idea, and there was no link, but after seeing something similar in a Pottery Barn magazine, and drooling over them for a year, I think this is the much cheaper way to go.

Love these. I have a gazillion pins everywhere upstairs by the sewing machine. These would be great.

and lastly,

5. Bucket/magazine rack.

There was no link to this, either, but I've seen this in Country Living magazine or something before. In March, on an antiquing trip, I got a flowery shelf bracket like this. I like this idea for the bathroom or kids room.

So, here's my top 5 in a nutshell. I'll post sometime later about how I actually finished these, IF I finished them. Bear with me people.

  2. Omigosh, I love all of these! Especially the candlesticks and bucket magazine rack. I am doing those for sure!! Thanks so much for sharing. Maybe we should set a date to finish one of the projects and then we can post them on our blogs and share a link to each others blogs? Maybe this will get us motivated!?! No worries if you'd rather not...

  4. I may have to add a couple of those to my to do list. The chicken wire frame already was on it. Just haven't decided on the color yet.

  5. That chicken wire frame is on my list too! I have been looking for frames at the thrift shop. I can't wait for school to be out! I am burned out. As a kid, I never understood when parents said they were burned out on school. I sure get it now! :)
