Back to High School

First of all, I just want to say that I hope you all had a glorious 4th!

We did. We enjoy our freedom and hope you all appreciate it to.

Now, onto more recent events.

I traveled yesterday with my family, my parents, and my sister and her family (who are here from South Carolina) to a place I haven't been since High School.

When my parents introduced us to it ALL THOSE MANY YEARS AGO, it was a great place. Nothing like it around. It's the same.

It hasn't changed, and that's ok. It's now a place my kids have been to twice, and LOVE it just as much as I did.

Ideal Beach and waterslide park.

We all took our turns on the waterslide. ALL DAY. My thighs will not be the same, walking up all those steps all day. My kids were flabbergasted I even went.

It was a blast, I have to say.

My 59 year old father had just as much fun as the kids, and Evan and him "raced" a lot of the time.

Fun for everyone.

They have a lake there too, which is very well maintained. Davis, the youngest, planted himself there most of the day. The waterslides were NOT for him.

The wet sand was also quite a draw. We had to spray them down with a hose before we went home.
We had a great time. Made alot of memories.
